The past 10 years have been especially remarkable as, last month, the University celebrated the 10th anniversary of the appointment of Eugene J. Cornacchia, Ph.D., as president. In his decade at the helm, Dr. Cornacchia has led Saint Peter\u2019s to:<\/p>\n
-Achieve University status, offering new master\u2019s and doctoral programs, expanding academic offerings, online degrees and study abroad opportunities.
\n-Earn national recognition, including, in recent years, a MONEY\u00ae Magazine ranking of fifth in the nation for “Colleges That Add the Most Value” and being named eighth in the nation for upward mobility by The Equality of Opportunity Project.
\n-Secure a $3.8 million federal (HSI) STEM grant, the largest grant in University history.
\n-Assume responsibility for St. Aedan\u2019s: The Saint Peter\u2019s University Church and establish The Campus Kitchen.<\/p>\n
To celebrate Dr. Cornacchia\u2019s accomplishments, Trustee Kathleen McKenna, Esq. \u201975 will match each gift made to the President\u2019s Priority Fund before June 30 up to $50,000.
