On Thursday, April 18, Saint Peter’s University held an Alumni in Law event in The Duncan Family Sky Room in the Mac Mahon Student Center. More than 100 people attended the event, “Attorney Ethics: What Clients Should Expect of their Lawyers.” This Continuing Legal Education (CLE) lecture was hosted by the Saint Peter’s University Alumni in Law Host Committee and was followed by a networking reception.

The lecture was designed for those interested in understanding the various facets of ethics involving the legal profession, with an emphasis on criminal cases. The series also examined ethics governing judges and the disciplinary process involving judges and lawyers.

Hon. Kevin G. Callahan, ’69, retired New Jersey Superior Court judge and criminal justice professor at Saint Peter’s University, served as the moderator for the event and Edwin H. Callahan felt that the event was a great success. “The spirit in the Mac Mahon Student Center was very uplifting,” he said. “Many alumni came back to the campus for the first time in years and were reacquainted with Saint Peter’s as a University in this brand new student center. They not only had the opportunity to network but they discovered the vibrancy of our alumni association. The ability to hear from an accomplished individual like Edwin Stern on such an important topic was also a tremendous draw.”

Callahan is a member of the Alumni in Law Host Committee along with John C. Caufield, Esq. ’88, Mark C. Curtis, Esq. ’82, Elise J. DiNardo, Esq. ’84, Francis J.
