Cornacchia, Ph.D., where Lieutenant Governor Way shared the details of her upbringing in Bronx, N.Y. as the daughter of two public sector workers. She shared the harrowing details of how she suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage that threatened her with vision loss when she was a rising junior at Brown University. She also expressed how this traumatic experience helped her to determine her future path to attend law school.
