For all exchange programs, Saint Peter\u2019s students pay home school tuition directly to Saint Peter\u2019s based on the regular semester charge. Here\u2019s the good news: Saint Peter\u2019s institutional aid as well as government aid can be applied to these tuition costs! Room and board fees are typically paid directly to the host institution abroad.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Saint Peter\u2019s is an institutional member of the <\/span>International Student Exchange Program (ISEP)<\/span><\/a>, a network of more than 300 colleges and universities in over 50 countries that work together to provide affordable international exchange opportunities. Some ISEP programs offer courses in English. Other ISEP programs feature courses in the native language and require participants to have completed advanced\/intermediate level language study prior to the study abroad program. <\/span><\/p>\n ISEP-Exchange participants pay tuition, room and full board fees to Saint Peter\u2019s University. Similar to other exchange programs, all institutional and government financial aid can be applied to ISEP-Exchange expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sogang University is a large Jesuit institution located in the heart of Seoul – the bustling cultural, political, and business capital of South Korea. Sogang offers a rich selection of courses taught in English in biology, computer science, economics, history, theology, philosophy, political science, business management, international studies, Asian studies, etc. Korean fluency is by no means required; however students are encouraged to take a Korean language class while at Sogang. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The University of Deusto is a private, Jesuit university located in Bilbao, Spain. It is the oldest private institution in Spain. Deusto offers courses in English in business, psychology, law, international business, political science, and history, as well as courses in Spanish. While at Deusto, students can easily explore Bilbao and countless other cultural heritage sites, including the nearby birthplace of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n As an exchange student at Ateneo de Manila, you will have the chance to learn at one of the oldest and finest Jesuit universities in the heart of South East Asia. \u00a0Ateneo offers an incredibly rich list of courses across many disciplines \u2013 all offered in English. In addition, room and board costs are significantly less expensive in the Philippines than in the US. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Saint Peter\u2019s students will feel right at home at Mary Immaculate College in Limerick, located on Ireland\u2019s scenic West Coast. Mary I, as it is called, offers incredibly welcoming faculty, staff, and students, small class sizes, and comfortable shared accommodations with other international students. \u00a0Mary I is an excellent place to take some Core classes such as theology, philosophy, art, history, literature, or psychology. \u00a0Courses in education, Gaelic, geography, Irish heritage, math, media\/communications, and music are also offered. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Saint Peter\u2019s students have the opportunity to study for a semester or academic year at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas, one of Spain’s leading universities. Located in the heart of Madrid, Comillas is a private Jesuit university founded in 1890. Comillas offers several courses taught in English each semester, mostly in the disciplines of business and political science. For students fluent in Spanish, many more courses are available across several majors. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n St. Mary\u2019s University sits on a beautiful, green campus located along the River Thames in London\u2019s western suburbs, only 30 minutes by commuter rail from the heart of London. \u00a0With a total enrollment of about 3,500 students, St. Mary\u2019s is an ideal place to spend a semester and take some Core and\/or major classes. All classes are taught in English, class sizes are small, faculty members are approachable, and the course offerings are quite unique. <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Saint Peter\u2019s students may also choose to study abroad directly through approved program providers.\u00a0 These programs allow students to choose from hundreds of locationss in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa, and South America. Although Saint Peter\u2019s institutional aid cannot be used to pay for these programs, federal government aid may be applied. Students who choose this option pay the study abroad provider directly for tuition, room, and board. \u00a0Here are just a few of the many direct study abroad options available to Saint Peter\u2019s students: <\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n For some students, it may be better to study abroad for a week or two, rather than for a full semester or academic year. Led by a Saint Peter\u2019s faculty member, these travel courses begin on campus and include an international travel component over winter, spring, or summer break.\u00a0 Students can learn more about the current list of travel courses by emailing the<\/span> <\/span>Center for Global Learning<\/span><\/a>.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n There are literally thousands of unique program options for summer study abroad. Whether you want to study abroad for 3 weeks or 9 weeks, take 3 credits or 12 credits, or study Buddhism in Thailand or Theatre in London, adventurous students can find a program that suits their needs and interests. Though financial aid is not typically available for summer study abroad, students are encouraged to speak with the Office of Financial Aid or to <\/span>research study abroad scholarships<\/span><\/a>. Here are just a few of the many exciting courses that students can take abroad over the summer:<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Saint Peter\u2019s students from any major can choose from a vast array of summer internship opportunities around the world. \u00a0Placements can vary from a few weeks to a few months, and the work is typically unpaid. Internship providers typically offer job placement services, housing, orientation, language instruction, and a social program. \u00a0These summer opportunities are self-funded, however some scholarships are available \u2013 including the <\/span>Gilman Scholarship<\/span><\/a>.
