Colleen Szefinski, LPC, LCADC – Director<\/h4>\n

Colleen received her Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Psychology from Saint Peter\u2019s University and her Masters in Counseling Psychology from Frostburg State University in Frostburg Maryland. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining CAPS as Assistant Director in 2004, Colleen worked in the Behavioral Healthcare field for fifteen years. She has worked clinically with adolescents and adults in community and hospital-based settings, and has been in supervisory positions since 2001.\u00a0 She started her career at Catholic Community Services, where she worked for 12.5 years providing an array of counseling services, as well as managing and developing outpatient addiction programs. She has interfaced with many community agencies, including school systems, hospitals, DYFS, drug treatment programs, Intoxicated Driver Resource Center, and the criminal justice system.\u00a0 Colleen was promoted to Director of CAPS in February 2020.<\/p>\n

Gail Conte,\u00a0LAC, Senior Counselor<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Gail received a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Professional Studies and Master\u2019s in School Counseling from Saint Peter\u2019s University, and is a Licensed Associate Counselor.<\/p>\n

She has accumulated mental health experience while working in the CAPS department as Administrative Assistant for over 18 years, with responsibilities for the department\u2019s management of clinical activities, and her increasing role with client engagement and screening.\u00a0 She has co-facilitated psychoeducational groups, and collaborated with campus partners to provide wellness activities and events for the student body.\u00a0 She <\/span>has been state trained in suicide prevention, and worked as a volunteer on the NJ suicide hotline assessing risk, deescalating callers, and providing resources. Gail transitioned into the Senior Counselor position in March 2022.<\/p>\n

Delanie Munro – Administrative Assistant<\/h4>\n

Delanie came to Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) in May 2022 as the Administrative Assistant. She is the first point of contact for all students requesting counseling services, and assists students with registering for services and scheduling appointments. She also supports and engages students in the many activities and events hosted by CAPS. <\/span><\/p>\n

Delanie received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communications with a concentration in Journalism from Ramapo College of New Jersey in 2019. She was entered into the Communications Honors Society, Lambda Pi Eta in April of 2018. Delanie has worked in higher education for more than two and a half years in a registrar position. As the registrar, she connected with students on a daily basis with their schedules and helped them with any questions or concerns they had at the institution. Delanie understands college is a huge step for everyone and she continues to make sure that every student leaves the office feeling like their voices were heard. She has more than ten years\u2019 experience in digital photography, and is planning on taking photos at school events CAPS is part of if needed. Delanie also looks forward to continuing her education in Communications and Public Relations in the near future. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
