\nAny student may apply to the program upon completing 60 credits\u00a0and, upon acceptance, take three
\ngraduate courses (nine credits) within their last 30 credits.<\/p>\nSpecific admission requirements include:<\/p>\n
\n- Successful completion of 60 credits<\/li>\n
- Cumulative major GPA of 3.3 or higher, Major GPA of 3.0 or higher, and Cognate Course GPA of
\n3.0 or higher at the time of application and when the BA degree is completed<\/li>\n - Complete the Bachelor\u2019s degree in four (4) years or less<\/li>\n
- Submission of the graduate application and personal statement (250+ words)<\/li>\n
- Official transcript(s) will be obtained from Enrollment Services upon completion<\/li>\n
- Two letters of recommendation from the school of Undergraduate Degree<\/li>\n
- An interview may be required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Students may apply to the program by November 1st , but not later than March 1st , before their last 30 <\/strong>credits.<\/strong><\/p>\nCredits and Curriculum<\/strong>
\nThe Master of Arts in Criminal Justice degree program is a 36-credit program. If accepted into the
\naccelerated program, students will take up to nine graduate credits in either the fall or spring within
\ntheir last 30 credits. (Note:<\/strong> Undergraduates cannot take graduate courses during the Winter Trimester.)
\nGraduate courses taken while an undergraduate are billed at the undergraduate tuition rate and fulfill
\ncourse requirements for the Bachelor\u2019s and Master\u2019s degrees.<\/p>\nStudents will meet with the MACJ program advisor to choose from the courses listed below. The
\nbachelor\u2019s degree will be awarded upon completing all undergraduate degree requirements. (Note:<\/strong> The
\nUniversity will apply the initial nine graduate credits to the graduate transcript upon completing 12

Upon completion of the bachelor\u2019s degree, students take all graduate courses and enroll in at least two
\ncourses each subsequent trimester until they complete the degree. All graduate courses are billed at the
\ngraduate tuition rate. Upon completing the remaining graduate credits, the students will be awarded a
\nMaster of Arts in Criminal Justice.
