About

Dr. Kar is a committed academician with knowledge of cutting-edge technologies in data science. In her current position as assistant professor at the Data Science Institute, she is lecturing on various graduate level courses.

Before joining Saint Peter’s, she was a project fellow and senior project fellow at Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India where she concurrently, served guest faculty and earned her doctoral degree in engineering with more than 20 publications in reputed venues. Apart from research and teaching, she was involved in helping master’s and bachelor’s students complete research projects and learn programming.

Her current research interests are health informatics and machine learning.
